Whew that's a mouthful. One of the perks of being a member of Influenster is occasionally you're picked to sample out products before they hit stores. I've had some hits and misses, but for the most part I've actually found some items that have become staples in my beauty routine.
I was really excited to try out the foundation after finding out it was a matte mousse formula. I've been curious how those products applied, and I have to say I was pretty underwhelmed with this particular product. First, I requested a color about 3 shades too dark for my skin tone (obv my fault) but tried it anyway to get the full experience.
The texture was very thick at first and was more difficult to blend than it should be.
Maybe it's just my aging skin, but it definitely made my fine lines more noticeable, which is definitely not something I look for in a foundation.
On the left I obviously have foundation on (hi oompa loompa hand) and on the right I have nothing.
I don't know if because the color is so dark it made me lines more noticeable or what, but definitely not a good look.
As promised, it is lightweight. After blending it didn't feel like I had anything on, but I did notice it came off on my clothes, so staying power isn't too great.
So overall, for me and my skin anyway, this product was a miss. I did notice a LOT of positive reviews on the website though, and for the price, it seems like a good try!
*I received the foundation complimentary of Influenster, but all opinions expressed are my own.

March Birchbox Review
Do you Birchbox?
I love seeing what people got in their box every month and LOVE finding new products.
Pre Birchbox I would buy full size products and be sh*t out of luck if I didn't like it.
Let's just say I'm kind of obsessed with getting a box of surprises in my mailbox each month.
For March, these are the things I received:
2. Benefit Benetint $29/0.4 fl oz - Love it. I can't believe I haven't tried the tint before getting it in the box, seeing as how it's Benefit's best seller. I haven't used it on my cheeks (blush application scares me) but love it on my lips. It dries like a stain, leaving a natural rosy tint to my lips without being glossy. Very pretty. Would absolutely purchase.
3. Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment $39.95/full size - This product promises to repair damaged hair and add shine. It does work very well. I mix it in with a leave in styling cream and let hair air dry. It is noticeably smoother and softer, but for the price I think I will keep looking for a comparable product.
4. Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque $36/full size - Basically the same exact thing as the previous product, but this one is a deep conditioner that is washed out. Left my hair very, very soft and didn't weigh it down, but like the previous product, I'll keep looking for something a little more affordable.
5. Supergoop! Antioxidant Infused Sunscreen $19/full size - Full coverage sun protection with Vitamin C would be perfect for a day outside. I didn't receive a mist, I received a face and body lotion, which in my opinion is waaaay too thick and greasy to go on my face, but the lack of parabens, oxybenzone and fragrances might make up for that. At $20 a bottle and living in a state that's 95% sunny year-round, it's not realistic for me to spend that much money on sunscreen. Pass.
6. Madewell for Birchbox Emery Board $5 - Super cute and who couldn't use an extra emery board? I'd buy it for sure!
The $10 I pay a month for Birchbox more than makes up for the amount of money I've wasted on products I didn't love. Sign up here!

Hey, Four Eyes!
Today I'm officially a blogger. I mean, you can't be considered one
until Firmoo wants your opinion on some glasses, can you?!
Don't mind my frizzball, scary hair. It was sprinkling and yucky outside.
To say I was excited when Firmoo contacted me is a major understatement. As someone who's tried (and failed) wearing contacts, I was pretty thrilled at a chance for some new specs.
Here's what Firmoo has to say:
Any hot glasses/sunglasses /goggles frames you want can be found on Firmoo, and all are available for both prescription lenses and non-prescription lenses. Are you desperate to have a new look? Now here is the chance, Firmoo has launched a First Pair Free Program to people worldwide. You will absolutely fall in love with the excellent quality, affordable prices, fashionable designs, fast delivery and the good service after trying them with paying shipping only! You even can get a refund/exchange if you are not satisfied with them. It's totally Risk free, so why not have a try?
Click here (http://www.firmoo.com/free-glasses.html) to get your free glasses now!
After picking out the pair I wanted, the glasses arrived within about a week. That's seriously awesome
news considering they are based out of China.
The package included a hard case, a soft carrying case, a cleaning cloth and a mini screwdriver
with a few extra screws.
So far, so good!
LOVE that it came with a hard case. God knows what things wind up
in my purse, so it's nice not to worry about smashing my glasses.
Also, guys, I've been wearing prescription glasses for quite some time. I've
had brand name, off brand, you name it.
The quality of these glasses blew me away. I currently own a pair of Marc Jacobs
glasses that I paid upward of $300, and the Firmoo pair is just as good, if not better.
They aren't flimsy AT ALL and they look like I should have paid a lot of $$$.
Another perk of the website is they feature Virtual Try-On. I had about 3 pairs
in mind, but after using the Try-on tool, I went with these. Lifesaver.
The best part about Firmoo? They offer everyone the chance to get their
first pair of glasses free, you only pay shipping!
You can choose either prescription (or not) glasses or sunglasses.
You really can't beat that. So go HERE and get yourself a pair, you won't be
disappointed. (In the rare event you are, they offer exchanges and refunds!)
*While Firmoo did provide me with the glasses reviewed, opinions are always 100% mine.
